Rudolf: Some of the younger boys in Numbulwar have started working with the Youth Pathways Service which is run by Steven Ngalmi.

Steven Ngalmi: This job I’m doing for Roper Shire but I’m working for the Youth Service and trying helping all the young people to get on job. And they do job from 8 to 12, after all that I do activity with them like fishing and doing campings but it’s hard for doing camping because the road is still wet.

Rudolf: Every day from Monday to Friday at 8am these young men go to work to make a good life for themselves. The boys work as a team and support each other. Thaddeus Joshua joined the team this year.

Thaddeus Joshua: Yes this job has taught me how to cut grass, how to whipper snipper, and teaching the kids to pick up rubbish.

Rudolf: What are you going to do, with your future?

Thaddeus: Find a good job.

There it is, and these young guys are headed on the right track. This Youth Pathways Service helping Indigenous people with their own healthy future.
