Meet the Mojo
The 11 NT Mojos from six communities were chosen in community after a thorough selection process that involved local elders, existing media centres and outlets and Government Business Managers and Indigenous Engagement Officers.
The Mojos, and the support people who were chosen to accompany them, then attended a week-long intensive training course at the Batchelor Institute of Indigenous Tertiary Education (BIITE) in Batchelor, NT. For many, it was the first time they had visited Batchelor, though many had heard about it or knew people who had attended the Institute in the past.
Due to flooding in Naiyu, the two Mojos from that community were unable to take part in the original training session. However, we are working to get Desmond and Jasmine Daly to catch up training at Batchelor Institute and have them producing their Mojo stories soon.
Be sure to check the NT Mojos website regularly for the latest stories.
